Fire officials say a large fire is at a car yard at the north west Sydney car park on Monday.
The garage has been on fire for the past five days.
Crews from South West Fire Service rushed to the scene in the east-end, on the corner of The Strand and The Strand Road, after receiving a report of a large fire at the north east car park.
Crews spent the morning dealing with the blaze on the north end where they extinguished one of the two cars.
An engineer from the Sydney car park took out the second car, which was also damaged in the blaze.
Nathan Hill, of the fire brigade, said it started around 4.50am.
‘I saw this huge blaze and we were there for a really long time,’ he said.
‘We saw smoke coming up from outside and decided to get on it.
‘It was very, very hot, that’s why it took us half an hour to get to this corner.
‘A lot of the fire crews had already gone to the roof of the garage and we started doing our work from there.’
‘One thing we all need to do when firefighters come to the scene is get the ground around us under control. It’s 바카라사이트quite a large volume of heat and that’s why the building is on fire.’
The fire is estimated to have affecte바카라d between five and seven vehicles.
Some residents have reported not being able to get to work or to school for more than an hour as the hot temperatures quickly scorched the streets surrounding the garage.
